Biochemistry Basics

Welcome to the lesson on ‘Biochemistry Basics!’ Biochemistry is an advanced class in undergrad. It requires knowledge of organic chemistry, chemistry, and biology. As such, you will be taking this later in your pre-medical career.

This Lesson Has 4 Tasks

  1. Read our Article on Biochemistry Basics! As with the other basics series, please just lightly read the article. Biochemistry really requires you to have a solid grasp of chemistry, organic chemistry and biology – especially the last two. If you want to do well in biochem, do well in biology!

  2. Assignment 1: Human energy production is very inefficient. Research online the most common form(s) in which we lose energy while we digest food.

  3. Pass the Exam Below!

You are allowed to refer to your materials while taking the exam. Remember you need a minimum passing score of 80% to pass the exam, but you are allowed to complete as many retakes as you want. You can also ask for help on your exam! You can ask for help in the High School Mentoring group or on the activity feed.
