Anatomy Basics

Welcome to the lesson on ‘Anatomy Basics!’ This is a great lesson to read after you study Medical Terminology. Human Gross Anatomy is a class that every doctor has taken as a medical student, and you will too! It’s a challenging course due to the sheer number of things you are memorizing, working in a cadaver dissection lab, and juggling your other courses.

This Lesson Has 4 Tasks

  1. Read our Article on Anatomy Basics! We’ll cover all of the major anatomical systems, plus give you some links to study more about the physiology of each.

  2. Assignment 1: Consider joining a free anatomy teaching service. Like Teach Me Anatomy. These are great ways to periodically learn and quiz yourself anatomy. Remember it’s a marathon, not a sprint!

  3. Assignment 2: Here is a great article on the different types of fractures. A little clinical insight. We’re always concerned about fractures that effect a child’s growth plate. If they don’t heal right that bone may stop growing!

  4. Pass the Exam Below!

You are allowed to refer to your materials while taking the exam. Remember you need a minimum passing score of 80% to pass the exam, but you are allowed to complete as many retakes as you want. You can also ask for help on your exam! You can ask for help in the High School Mentoring group or on the activity feed.
