The Berkley Review: This is a tremendous, but dense, resource. It comes in a few forms, you can take the in-person classes, which are exclusive to the West Coast. The online classes which I wish were an option when I was studying, and the self-study course which are just the books. The classes are rather expensive at $1,995, but the instruction is top-notch. If you want to buy just the books that’ll set you back $375.00
When I was studying for the MCAT, these classes were widely regarded as the gold standard. However, like I said before it’s all very dense. A lot of people use the books to review key points and to do problems. One thing you learn fast in medical school is that more problems = higher scores.
My advice. Get what you can afford, but definitely get a copy of the books to read concepts and do timed problem sets. People who master the Berkley Review content tend to score significantly higher then others.
