About Me	Iâ€™m a rising sophomore at Rutgers University pursuing a career in medicine, most likely some form of pediatrics, psychiatry, or something that bridges the two. Iâ€™m Â majoring in Psychology and minoring in Biological Sciences (although Iâ€˜m very much intrigued by Public Health so weâ€™ll see what happens there ) and Political Science. Iâ€™m multilingual, but want to learn even more languages 🙂 Â Thank you for this opportunity!

Special Interests and Hobbies	I love reading, love politics, am involved in various forms of activism (humanitarian, political, etc), and want to tackle issue pertaining to healthcare and education.

My Goals

My Goals for This Year

– Start preparing for the MCAT

– Do well in all of my classes

– Gain some form of research/lab experience (hopefully, regarding psych or bio material)

– Continue to teach kids and expand the network I’m a part of

My 5 Year Goals

– Being successful in med school

– Have a better idea of what area of medicine I want to pursue (I’m debating between psychiatry or pediatrics)

-Perhaps be a part of the MD/JD program or the MD/MPH program (I’m learning more about it and it really aligns with my interests)

– Becoming fluent in Spanish and Arabic (I know parts of both, but I want to fluently know them)

My 10 Year Goals

– Getting a stable job as a pediatric surgeon or psychiatrist (or some other field, but I’ve had these particular interests for years)

– After becoming a pediatric surgeon or as a psychiatrist and making money for a while, I want to become a part of the Doctors Without Border program

– Educate kids all over the world 🙂

– Continue being a political and humanitarian activist and find more causes to support and advocate for, and maybe even start work for a cause I believe isn’t being addressed in society
